4: Mercer is a top ten college
Education wise, Mercer is up there.
The private education provided at Mercer is the purview of some 8,300 students each year.
One of the colleges biggest draws is it's reputation in law with it's very prestigious Walter F. George school of law which opened way back in 1873.
As such, it has seen its fair share of judges across the land and politicians.
They've produced over thirty congressmen, governors and US ambassadors in their time, including the current governor of Georgia.
They also have the honour of producing not only the first african-american judge to sit in a Georgia court but also the first african-american woman as well.
