The agent of Edinson Cavani has ruled out a swap deal between his client and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, claiming that it is just “not possible.”

According to French newspaper Le 10 Sport the pair have been linked with a deal which could see Cavani head to Turin and Pogba move to the Parc des Princes, with PSG paying €30million on top. However the Uruguayan striker’s agent has rubbished the notion altogether, instead maintaining that transfers would not be discussed until the end of the season.

Cavani’s head representative, Claudio Anellucci, told reporters in Italy: "Paul Pogba to PSG in exchange for 30M over Edinson Cavani? It is not possible, talk about serious things.

“This is absolutely not the time to talk transfers since we are in a crucial part of the season. The best teams are in an important phase of their season, PSG are ready to face Chelsea in the Champions League."

Both men have been targeted by Manchester United ahead of this summer’s transfer window and, with sources claiming Cavani will only be sold for £80million and Pogba £53million, it will take colossal efforts for any club to purchase either man.

David Moyes is said to be in line to be given a hefty transfer budget with which to improve his flagging side, and Cavani and Pogba have been repeatedly named in connection with big-money switches to Old Trafford.

Suitors will have been boosted by the news that there are no behind the scenes plans to trade the two, with the likes of Real Madrid also said to be sniffing around Pogba.
