Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Arsenal were hammered 6-0 by Chelsea on Saturday and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should have been sent off, referee Andre Marriner sent off Kieran Gibbs by mistake instead, but this should not detract from the progress he has made this season.

Since coming back from a cruciate ligament injury suffered in the first game of this season, the 20-year-old has been one of the Gunners most impressive performers in a difficult run of games. Bayern Munich knocked them out of the Champions League, but 'The Ox' put in a very exciting performance at the Allianz arena, causing the European champions plenty of problems.

Another who looks certain to be in England's World Cup squad, Oxlade-Chamberlain is putting in performances of great maturity and it looks as though Arsene Wenger has picked another gem.
