After seeing his side lose 6-3 at home to high flying Liverpool the baby faced Norwegian Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in no mood to talk about the rivals of his former side.

Cardiff started the match well, taking the lead through Jordon Mutch who drove the ball low past Simon Mignolet after great work from Fraizer Cambell early in the first half. Liverpool hit back within 10 minutes though, Jordan Henderson released Glen Johnson who then set up Luis Suarez.

Cardiff responded quickly though and in the 25th minute Campbell turned Daniel Agger inside out and finished brilliantly to restore the bluebird's lead. With half time looming Coutinho played a great pass from the left to the onrushing Martin Skrtel to level the game up.

Nine minutes into the second half the same combination struck again, Coutinho's corner finding the head of Skrtel, putting Liverpool 3-2 up, meaning they lead for the first time on the day.

The next goal was the pick of the match. Sturridge played an incredible back heel through to Suarez who matched it with a brilliant finish. Only 15 minutes later the coveted SAS formation combined again, Suarez setting up Sturridge for his only goal of the day.

As time was dwindling a header down to Mutch allowed a consolation goal, only for the mercurial Luis Suarez to seal his hat-trick in the 90th minute

According to Sky Sports, Solskjær expressed disdain over Liverpool's 3rd goal - the one that put them in front in the second half - because it happened when two Cardiff players were off the pitch.

And it didn't end there for the former Manchester United treble winner. When asked if he thought Liverpool were title contenders he replied simply with: "I couldn't care less."
