Manchester United 0-3 Liverpool
Manchester United have not had a good first season under David Moyes but perhaps the lowest point of an overwhelmingly bad campaign was earlier this month against fierce rivals Liverpool.
The Red Devils' plight has been bad enough without having to see Liverpool do extremely well in the Premier League and make a title challenge, so their visit to Old Trafford was a chance to put a dent in their title bid and reenergise the squad.
It turned out to be an unimaginably easy victory for Liverpool, who scored two out of three penalties given when it could quite easily have been five spot kicks awarded. One of those got Nemanja Vidic sent off though Daniel Sturridge did dive for that particular one, but it didn't not make a major change to the result or outcome.
It was a embarrassing defeat for Moyes and the Old Trafford supporters, which all but confirmed they would not be playing Champions League football next season unless they win the competition this year - they have Bayern Munich in the next round.
