The MLB season got underway this weekend with many team's hoping their star players can help them to a World Series title.

But is your ball club's main man all he is cracked up to be or is fooling you all?

Well today ESPN Sport Center revealed just who the league's players themselves think is the most overly hyped man currently playing.

And it doesn't make good reading for Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper.

In the poll, which comprised the votes of 143 MLB players, 24% of his peers picked the young star as the most overrated player in baseball.

Yasiel Puig of the LA Dodgers was next up with 21% of the votes, while much maligned Yankee Alex Rodriguez came in third, polling 14%.

At just 21 years old Harper has been highlighted as one of the best players in the league since debuting in 2012.

But clearly his fellow MLB stars do not agree - or are at least not too happy about him stealing their limelight!

As for the most talented player in the league?

The 143 players asked picked out Mike Trout. The Angels outfielder gained an impressive 56% of the vote which was released today.
