GK: David de Gea v Victor Valdes
This choice is sure to invite a certain amount of controversy, but we personally struggle to see any goalkeeper in the Premier League who is now unquestionably superior to De Gea.
The Manchester United 'stopper did admittedly appear struggle immensely with the adjustment to life in English football after moving from Atletico Madrid, but now he appears to have easily surmounted that particular hurdle and has been a rare bright spot of an otherwise turgid season under David Moyes.
From the Real/Barcelona side of things, such a selection would usually be unanimously in favour of the legendary Iker Casillas.
However, with the 32-year-old still slumped behind Diego Lopez as second-choice under Carlo Ancelotti, we've had to begrudgingly break from tradition and opt for Valdes, who is set to leave Barcelona this summer.
You may disagree, but we're opting for De Gea here.
While Spanish compatriot Valdes may have the edge in terms of experience and silverware, we are confident that the Red Devils 'keeper will go on to be far better.
First blood to the Premier League XI. Can they keep that lead?
