After Arsenal's 6-0 destruction at the hands of table toppers Chelsea, Arsene Wenger has come under great scrutiny from the press and from former Arsenal players on how he is managing the club for big games against the teams surrounding them.
As this may scratch off any final thoughts of Arsenal being title contenders and diminish them to where they belong at the end of every season; fourth.
Surely fourth place isn't good enough for a team who haven't won a trophy in Wenger's last 500 games in charge, yet won seven in Wenger's first 500 games.
The bulk and fear Arsenal used to strike into opponents has vanished with Giroud not being a Robin van Persie or Thierry Henry and Germany international Mesut Ozil not living up to his club-record price tag.
Wenger used to claim that the teams surrounding him have bought the league, and when Wenger attempts to buy the league in the summer of 2013, his title race falters at the hands of bullying from teams such as Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
So, do Arsenal need a change of head at the helm of the club? Managers would be queuing left, right and centre to take over Arsenal, but as seen with Manchester United and the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, stability is sometimes a necessity and a new recruitment can cause more harm than the last manager.
"We want you to stay, we want you to stay, Arsene Wenger, we want you to stay" were the cries of the Chelsea faithful at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, and these should be the cries of Arsenal's fans as well as it's not the greatest crop of players we've ever seen in Arsenal shirts, but Wenger is getting the most out of them and you never know... maybe an FA Cup victory is on the horizon. Until May we wait.
