Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver, Mike Williams, was reportedly stabbed in the leg this weekend by his brother.
The incident allegedly took place on Sunday and now it seems Williams has explained to police the circumstances behind the incident.
As reported by Fox Sports, Williams told the police that his brother, Eric Baylor, had accidentally stabbed him during a playful wrestling match on Sunday.
Per a Hillsborough Police press release, Williams was treated and released the same day having been stabbed with a kitchen knife and Fox is citing a source close to Williams who claims the NFL player does not want to press charges.
Cristal Bermudez, a police spokeswoman, did however reveal that a warrant was issued for Baylor after witnesses had given differing accounts of the incident - with at least one person suggesting that the altercation had escalated beyond mere horseplay.
Williams himself has been in trouble with the law recently, with the 26-year old facing misdemeanour charges of criminal mischief for an incident dating from November 2013.
The former Syracuse man was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a four-year, $40 million contract last summer but played in only six games last year.
