Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones has hit back at Mark Cuban over claims that the NFL is full of 'pigs'.
Cuban said last night: "I think the NFL is 10 years away from an implosion," Cuban told ESPN. "I'm just telling you, pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. And they're getting hoggy. Just watch.."
However Jones hit back today, telling the Dallas Morning News: “I respect Mark. But with all due respect, I know more about pigs than Mark does."
Jones continued:“I was taught as a Razorback to be lean and mean, not a little fat pig.’’
The Cowboys owner has been accused more than most of splashing the cash with the construction of the Cowboys' stadium in Arlington, dubbed 'Jerry-World' by the media and adopting a gung-ho approach to signing free-agents.
However, interestingly Jones agreed with Cuban saying:“I agree with him and run scared. Any time you’re having success, then it’s a fool who’s not aware that that could change."
The NFL has become the most popular sport in North America and garners more media coverage and as a result earns more money than any other sport. However, perhaps the two Dallas executives are correct and the league must change it's ways to remain on top.
