At the KC Lightstream Stadium on the 23rd of March there was a challenging game for the Robins against the in-form Bradford Bulls, who had three strong players back in the side to face the Rovers.
The rain terrified the Bulls, forcing them into making three mistakes giving the Rovers their first try of the game from speedy winger Omari Caro.
As the rain plunged down and the pitch became more and more challenging due to the rainfall, the Robins pinned over another try courtesy of new recruit from Australia Kris Keating to finish the Robins for the first time at home in front at the halfway stage.
The entertainment from the first half gave Rovers fans hope that this could be there first win of the season after the terrible start they had with losses against Leeds, Castleford, St Helens and Wigan and a draw against the Huddersfield Giants.
The number of Bradford mistakes continued to rise as the weather deteriorated. The Robins kept solid and camped in front of the KC North stand which was pleasing to see.
When Burns broke through a challenge by a Bulls player he released the ball to loanee Kevin Larroyer, who chuckled over the line for his first try of the season for the Hull KR squad.
The Robins will face Wakefield Wildcats on Sunday 30th of March at the Robins home in the Super League tie.
