CM Punk taking on Triple H at WrestleMania XXX was a long-rumoured match which at one point was almost set in stone.
But now everyone who follows the WWE on a daily basis will know the entire CM Punk situation, with him walking out of the company the night after the Royal Rumble, has resulted in creative tossing around various last minute ideas to accommodate all big-name talent.
Although it sounds like a bad thing for the business, for certain superstars Punk’s departure has come as a blessing in disguise, now Daniel Bryan can potentially double duty on the grandest stage of them all as he takes on Triple H; Punk’s scheduled opponent. A win will put him in the main event, which is practically a guarantee.
But one man isn’t so happy with how things have turned out. According to backstage sources Triple H is said to be very offended that CM Punk didn’t want to work with him at WrestleMania XXX.
Triple H and top management officials in the WWE believe working alongside Triple H at WrestleMania is a very big deal and superstars should be grateful, but CM Punk did not believe so and wanted his deserved main event spot.
Perhaps this is an ego issue on Triple H’s part which doesn’t really come as much of a surprise as Triple H himself is practically a part-time performer, something CM Punk was against in the form of The Rock, Sting and Batista, and you could also argue that Triple H thinks he is better than he really is.
CM Punk hasn’t really done himself any favours with his imminent departure, as fans all over the world from all platforms ridicule him for his actions and the opinions of WWE superstars and officials are also swaying in the negative direction.
