Arsenal - seven crazy candidates to replace Wenger (3)

Charlie Nicholas

Odds: 250/1

Charlie Nicholas spent four years as an Arsenal player, with the most notable achievement during that time being a triumph in the League Cup final against Liverpool. Nicholas scored both goals in a 2-1 victory for the Gunners at Wembley.

Following his arrival from Celtic, Nicholas was billed by then manager Terry Neill as the most exciting British player to have emerged since George Best, but the only similarity turned out to be their shared penchant for a party.

‘Champagne Charlie’ now works alongside Merson on Soccer Saturday, where his on-camera banter leaves plenty to be desired. Check out this excruciating example.
