Top 10: Clubs with the most debt in world football (6)

6. Barcelona

Total debt: $156million

Unlike most clubs, Barcelona are owned and operated by its supporters, but they are still engulfed by significant debts, thanks largely to the club's high wage bill at Camp Nou.

The Catalan's are not renowned for spending big on star players - even if they did splash the cash on Brazilian forward Neymar last summer - and rely heavily on their esteemed La Masia academy to produce players for their first-team.

Forbes rank Barca as the second most valuable club on the planet with a valuation of $2.6billion, which means their $156million debt equates to just six per cent of that total.
