New England Patriots' head coach, Bill Belichick has always been outspoken member of the NFL community and this year has been no different.
Last week, Belichick and the Patriots proposed that the league installed cameras on the boundary lines. The NFL are due to discuss the rule and coach Belichick has a unique suggestion on how the league should fund it:
"Maybe we'll have a bake sale." Belichick joked when asked about the cost of installing the cameras.
The Patriots coach really does love cameras, he also suggested this offseason that the NFL should make every play reviewable by head coaches. The league will not be discussing the possibility of that grand move but they will be looking to make open-field turnovers reviewable after the NaVarro Bowman injury incident from last season's NFC Championship game.
It's pretty clear that Belichick was joking about having a bake sale, despite his previous experience in the kitchen . With the NFL securing annual revenue of billions of dollars, the league should be able to deliver the funds to make Belichick's idea a reality.
