Kobe Bryant has hit out at former LA Lakers teammate, Shaquille O'Neal for being lazy during their time with the franchise.

“It used to drive me crazy that he was so lazy.”Bryant told the New Yorker, “You got to have the responsibility of working every single day. You can’t skate through sh**.”

Kobe and Shaq won three NBA Championships during their time together at the Lakers as the team dominated the league in 2000,2001 and 2002.

After O'Neal left the team in 2004, he would win one more championship with the Miami Heat whilst Bryant has won two since the departure of the center.

Shaq is currently being investigated for assaulting a co-worker at the TNT offices in Atlanta last year. The former player works regularly as a studio analyst on the network's NBA coverage.

Byrant has missed the majority of this season after suffering a tibial plateau fracture. He is not expected to return until the beginning of the 2014-15 NBA season.

The pair did not see eye-to-eye during their time as teammates, despite being part of one of the most successful NBA teams in history. However their relationship had looked to be improving following O'Neal's retirement up until Kobe's latest shot.
