Tottenham have made more money from transfers than any club in Europe over the past seven years, which should not really arrive as much of a surprise given the departure of Gareth Bale last summer.
Real Madrid paid around £85 million to bring Bale to the Santiago Bernabeu from White Hart Lane, with the fee surpassing that which was outlaid by the same club to sign Cristiano Ronaldo four years earlier.
In total, Spurs have made €320 million from transfer sales since 2008 - with Luka Modric also leaving for more than £30 million - which places them at the summit of the European charts. Something to, perhaps, but a smile on the face of Daniel Levy.
