We start off with the Gunners and on first inspection things don't look good.

They have the best record of all teams in the Premier League against opponents in the bottom-half of the table, where they've picked up 40  However when it comes to facing tougher opponents in the top half they drop down to fourth overall having picked up 22 points.

A closer look at their games against other 'Top 6' teams (Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United) then things become a little clearer.

They've picked up just 11 points from nine games against their biggest rivals - six of which came against Spurs who are enduring something of a difficult season.

They've shipped 17 goals in three away games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City - which counts for exactly half the goals they've conceded all season. Frankly the evidence suggests they need to improve when it comes to the biggest games.
