As the NBA playoffs draw ever nearer Nike has, for the second year in a row, have unveiled a range of "elite" sneakers for their signature athletes.

The 2014 designs, made exclusively for LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant (not sure he will be needing his), carry a superhero theme which "aim to represent the superhuman skills each brings to the court" according to the marketing spiel released.

The shoes are set for release on May 9. and each of the designs are markedly different.

James will wear the red, black, green and yellow  'LeBron 11 Elite Hero' which differ from the original 'LeBron 11' due to their lower cut and new articulated external cage.

And they are our particular favorites.

Durant, who will be chasing LeBron's Heat all the way in the playoffs, will don a pair of the blue, green and pink sneakers in the postseason - a new version of his KV VI shoes.

Meanwhile Bryant, who wouldn't have been participating in the playoffs even if he had been fit following a torrid season for the Lakers, has been given an updated version of the Kobe 9 sneaker.

According to Nike, the grey, green and yellow sneaker takes inspiration from pop art in it's heel camouflage and it the first Nike basketball shoe to feature Flyknit.

What do you think? Which pair is your particular favorite?
