Former NFL receiver, Terrell Owens has claimed that he could defeat Michael Jordan in a game of basketball.

Owens, 40, launched a boasting rant of his prowess on the basketball court on the streaming app, 'HangWith'.

The video comes to us courtesy of TMZ Sport, and you can check it out in it's entirety here.

Owens starts the rant by exclaiming: "I do still play basketball, I'm dunking... I'm crossing n****s up. My game is like that. MJ doesn't even want any of this right now. He will be crossed-up MJ if he comes mess with me."

Michael Jordan is 51 years old so is athletic ability may have faded a little, but he was still able to pull of this dunk last year.

Owens, eleven years MJ's junior retired in 2012 from the NFL after six pro-bowl selections. Jordan called a day on his NBA career for the last time in 2003 after two short stints away from the game in the mid 1990's and from 1999-2001. He was voted the NBA finals MVP six times, one for each of the titles he won with the Chicago Bulls.

What do you think? Could Owens beat Jordan? Let us know in the comments.
