Everyone knows that Lebron has the option to become a free agent in the off-season, the real question is will he take it?
I think Lebron will be making himself a free agent in the off-season after the hard couple of weeks the Heat have been through. The have been beaten by the Bulls and humiliated by the Pelicans and I believe the once formidable Heat team with the big three is ready to split.
The Heat got back to winning ways the other night only by 2 points with a late Chris Bosh block to save them from heading to overtime vs Portland Trail Blazers. The Heat failed to enter the 100's against a team they should be beating by more.
They don't look as strong as they did over the last two season and other teams look more likely to be in with a shot at winning the title including my personal picks the Pacers, Rockets and the Thunder as well as the Heat.
Lebron is a fantastic Basketball player. The debate between Jordan or Lebron is like Messi or Ronaldo we can't decide. It is well documented that he is the most underpaid athlete and for a player with Lebron's talents that could become a problem. He might start to think 'why should others be paid more then me?' when he's the best - which could fuel his decision to move.
But James has always been a man to improve himself and challenge himself to be better, and at the Heat he's achieved two titles in as many seasons. That's a good achievement but maybe heading back to Cleveland to make them a title competing team with players like Irving and Bennett would make then very strong for the years ahead.
There is also rumours that the Lakers will make a move for Lebron seen as they have managed to tie a deal with Kobe and free up some cap room for possibly another big three involving Kobe, Melo and James but these are rumours for now and I think Lakers will go for one or the other.
Lebron will weigh up his options. His partnership with Bosh and Wade has been brilliant and very enjoyable and all fans can't wait to see how this plays out Lebron's popularity has the whole world watching every move he makes and only time will tell whether he stays with Heat or walks away for a new challenge.
