Bill Belichick has suggested, jokingly, that the NFL holds a bake sale in order to cover the cost of his proposal over fixed cameras.
One of many proposals to go before the NFL meeting today is one from the New England Patriots head coach, Belichick.
The proposal asked for fixed cameras on the boundary lines to help officials in instant replays to decide if a ball is in play or broken the plane of the lines. But he hasn't found much support for the move due to the extra cost involved of additional cameras.
Belichick at the morning press conference decided that the best way to address this was to have a bit of a laugh.
Over the breakfast with the media he pointed out that the amount of cameras already in the stadium for replays was already amount to "millions of dollars" and suggested: "Maybe we could have a bake sale to raise some money for the cameras. We could do a car wash."
The meeting will also vote on another proposal which is regarding making the extra point conversion more competitive.
