Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna will not leave the Premier League in the summer, according to Inter Milan president Erick Thohir.
The Serie A giants have been linked with making a move for the Frenchman during the past couple of months as they looking to become serious title contenders once again.
Inter have already agreed a deal to sign Manchester United's Nemanja Vidic and are said to be in the running to sign Patrice Evra on a free transfer.
Evra's fellow Frenchman Sagna is also out of contract and is expected to leave Arsenal after failing to agree a deal to extend his current deal beyond the end of the season.
However Thohir has today stated his belief that Sagna is going to stay in the Premier League even if it is not with Arsenal.
Sagna's potential departure from Arsenal will be a huge blow for Arsene Wenger as the 31-year-old is one of the first names on his teamsheet.
Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea are both said to be interested in signing Sagna.
