Bayern Munich have joined Manchester United and Barcelona in the race to sign Roma's Mehdi Benatia.
Le10 Sport suggest the recently-crowned Bundesliga champions are interested in enticing the central defender to the Allianz Arena - in order to continue their dominance domestically and in Europe.
However Pep Guardiola will not be given a free run on the highly-rated defender as several European giants are keeping tabs on the Moroccan international.
Benatia, who joined Roma in the summer from Udinese for a fee believed to be in the region of 13.5million euros, has gone from strength to strength since moving to the Stadio Olimpico.
The 26-year-old, who was linked with a £10million move to Manchester United in 2012, could be willing to leave Roma in order to compete for more honours.
However Manchester United are likely to be pipped to his signature by either Barcelona or Bayern Munich if the Premier League champions fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
