Chicago Cubs have been given a devastating verdict by television star Robin Tunney after she stated that the baseball club will never win the World Series again.
The last time the Cubs won the World Series was in 1918, and 96 years later they are as far away as they have ever been from securing the most prized asset in baseball.
Online betting company Sportsbook have them as the third worst team in the MLB heading into the season, with odds of 150/1 to win the World Series.
Tunney was interviewed by TMZ Sports last night as she was making her way home from dinner, and when she was asked what would happened if the Cubs won the World Series, she scoffed at the idea.
"Yeah I'm from Chicago and I'm a White Sox. I'm not a big baseball fan. "It's never happened, I just don't believe that [Cubs winning the World Series] could ever happen.
However, the actress, who has appeared in TV hits such as the Mentalist and Prison Break, did give Cubs fans hope.
A White Sox fan herself, she admitted that fans thought the same about the White Sox chances of
"We used to believe that about the White Sox but I was there when they won [in 2005]."
