WWE star Randy Orton has plenty of followers and fans across the world and there are none more passionate than his own father.
Speaking to WWE.com yesterday, Orton's father believes that his son will always be a great in the WWE, so long as the wrestling federation remains great itself.
He insists that the fortunes of Orton and the WWE go hand in hand and he feels that his son has played a huge role in increasing the popularity of the sport.
"My son Randy is a winner and he is just scratching the surface of his greatness," he explained. I can't wait to see what's coming up for him in the future. He's like WWE — great then, great now and great forever."
Randy is headlining WrestleMania 30 against Batista, and his Dad has some advice on how to defeat The Animal.
"I would tell Randy you’re not going to out-strength him so you have to outsmart him, which I don’t think will be too tough to do," he told WWE.com.
"Don’t get me wrong, Batista is a good man and a good wrestler, but when I look at the complete picture I think that Randy is the better man.
"Batista’s been out there doing some Mixed Martial Arts and acting in a few movies. Now he’s got to try to beat the best World Champion ever?"
Orton's greatness is undisputed. He had climbed to number one in the WWE power rankings at the start of the month following his title defense at the recent Elimination Chamber.
The wrestler defended his WWE Heavyweight World Championship at the event on February 23rd by defeating John Cena, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Christian and Cesaro.
He is currently in his eighth reign as WWE HWC.
