Man City star ridicules Manchester United

Manchester City star Edin Dzeko has launched a stinging attack on rivals Manchester United, after seeing his side humble the reigning Premier League champions on their own turf last night.

Dzeko scored a brace during the 3-0 victory at Old Trafford, and believes that the result proves once and for all who the dominant force in Manchester is. The outcome allowed City to within three points of league leaders Chelsea, and still with a game in hand remaining. So long as Manuel Pellegrini’s men can navigate a tough finish, there’s strong cause for optimism at the Etihad that the Citizens will win the league.

Following the derby clash Dzeko not only lauded his own team’s performance, but echoed Yaya Toure’s jibes in belittling their opponents. The Bosnian said that it was good for the fans to see the team win in such spectacular fashion, and opined that there was now no question as to who was the better team.

According to the Mirror, Dzeko said: “I'm happy for the fans, because for them it is something special.

"We showed them again who is boss in the city!”

City’s win last night was their third in a row at the home of United, and there’s little evidence to suggest that Dzeko’s claim is wrong. Do you think City have now eclipsed their noisy neighbours? Let us know your opinion in the comment box below.
