Manchester United still favourites to land £30m Chelsea target

Manchester United remain favourites to land Luke Shaw ahead of Chelsea, despite the fact that the bookies have lowered the odds on them sealing the deal.

PaddyPower have moved United to 8/11 to be Shaw’s next permanent club, with rumours repeatedly insisting that he will be the subject of a £30million move away from Southampton in the summer. However it’s not all good news for fans of the Red Devils, as these are considerably lower odds to what they were earlier this month, when they were placed as evens.

Another aspect to be taken into consideration is that Chelsea have seen their odds moved to reflect a more favourable stance. The Blues had been at 11/8 in the past but are now a mere 6/4 to be Shaw’s chosen destination if he leaves St. Mary’s Stadium as anticipated.

Rated as one of the most burgeoning talents in English football, the 18-year-old would be a very impressive signing indeed for any club that lands him. Whether or not it will be in the next transfer market however is a subject of much debate.
