Barcelona have confirmed the capture of Dynamo Zagreb starlet Alen Halilovic.
The Catalan club confirmed the news via their official Twitter account this morning, posting the message: "Agreement [reached] with Dynamo Zagreb for transfer of Alen Halilovic."
A statement on their official website confirmed that the 17-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Nou Camp.
Halilovic has long been regarded as one of the finest young talents in Europe, and has already represented his country to become Croatia's youngest ever debutant. He is also Dynamo Zagreb's youngest ever goalscorer, and has played in the Champions League.
The news will come as a blow to both Arsenal and Tottenham, who have been heavily linked with the youngster in the past.
Tottenham in particular were reportedly keen on securing a deal for Halilovic, and were said to have been close to that last summer.
However Spurs couldn't pull the deal off, leaving the door open for Barcelona to swoop.
Arsenal meanwhile had scouting Halilovic with a view of making a move, but that idea was ruled out some time ago by the Gunners once it became apparent that Barcelona had won the race.
