David Moyes knew he was walking into the tough job of all tough jobs when he accepted Sir Alex Ferguson's proposal to carry on his legacy of 27 years as Manchester United manager.
Fergie won an astonishing 38 trophies during his reign and was feared like no other manager in history. But even so, Moyes could never have imagined taking over the Old Trafford hot-seat would be as difficult as it has turned out to be.
To say the former Everton boss' first season in charge has been catastrophic would still be the biggest understatement of the century.

It makes you wonder if Moyes has ever woken up this season from the most horrible nightmare and wished he had fallen straight back asleep again.
The bookies have unsurprisingly had a field day speculating over possible replacements for the disastrous Scot, should those upstairs at Old Trafford pull the plug on his United career prematurely.
