Chelsea at risk of losing Hazard & Oscar to PSG

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho faces a battle to keep Eden Hazard and Oscar at Stamford Bridge this summer, with French champions Paris Saint-Germain keen to sign both players when the transfer window re-opens.

Telegraph Sport report that PSG are considering a £41.5m bid for Brazil international Oscar before the World Cup finals start in June, while the Ligue 1 outfit also remain keen to sign Hazard, who has been one of the Premier League’s star performers this season.

It’s believed this could simply be a tactical move on the part of PSG to unsettle Chelsea ahead of next week’s Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Parc des Princes. News that oil-rich PSG are determined to sign the Blues’ two prized assets is unlikely to sit well with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who has based his attack around the two gifted attack-minded players since returning to Stamford Bridge last summer.

However, PSG have been linked with Hazard on multiple occasions over recent months, with reports claiming that the Champions League contenders could offer Chelsea as much as £80m for the 23-year-old Belgium international. Meanwhile, rumours of PSG’s interest intensified earlier this week after their midfielder Yohan Cabaye told the media that Hazard would be the perfect summer signing.

“Hazard is the player I'd like to see at PSG,” the former Newcastle United star commented. “He would do a lot of good to Paris and the league. He's one of the best players against whom I've played.”

Oscar, who is nine months younger than Hazard, has also received public attention from a member of PSG’s squad this week. His compatriot Lucas Moura admitted he would love to play alongside his “very good friend” in the French capital next season.

“Oscar is a very good player," said Moura. “A rare talent in today's football, given his qualities. He is very complete and is very smart. We need someone like him at PSG.

“I think he would help us a lot. The more quality players there are, the better it is for the squad. Also, he's a very good friend of mine. I would be very happy if he came to PSG, the club too.”
