Chelsea v Crystal Palace: Predicted line-up

Published Add your comment

Jose Mourinho has confirmed Samuel Eto'o and Ashley Cole will both miss Chelsea's match against Crystal Palace this weekend.

That may mean Mourinho opts for Fernando Torres up front, while Willian is back after a one-ban match and should return alongside Eden Hazard and Oscar.

Ramires is banned, which means Chelsea will probably go with Frank Lampard and Nemanja Matic in midfield. John Obi Mikel is available, but a midfield of the Nigerian and Matic may be deemed too defensive.

Crystal Palace meanwhile could bring Barry Bannan back into the starting lineup as the Scottish midfielder has recovered from the bug that kept him out of Palace's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle last weekend.

A win for Chelsea would ensure they remain top of the league, but any slip up against their south London opponents could let Liverpool and Manchester City leapfrog them.

Palace remain precariously placed above the relegation zone, three points clear of Sunderland in 18th, although the Black Cats have a game in hand.

Here's GiveMeSport's predicted Chelsea lineup for the game on Saturday...

Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Matic, Lampard, Willian, Hazard, Oscar, Torres
