Annual salary: €2.79m

'Big Phil' as he is known in England is already a World Cup winning manager with Brazil in 2002, and also served as head coach of Portugal's national team between 2003 and 2008.

Scolari led them to the Euro 2004 final and fourth place at the 2006 World Cup, before resigning after a disappointing showing at Euro 2008. He returned to club management and enjoyed a brief spell at Chelsea, and eventually returned to the post as Brazil's head coach in 2012.

He guided them to 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup victory, and will be under immense pressure to win the World Cup on his own soil in 2014.
