Arsenal have completed a deal for Nuremberg striker Josip Drmic according to reports from Sky Germany.
The 21-year-old Swiss striker has been linked with a move to England recently, and it appears he will make the switch to the Emirates in the summer, following an impressive season in the Bundesliga where he has 15 league in 26 appearances.
Lothar Matthaus broke the news, which was then reiterated on Twitter by his colleague Jan Aage Fjortoft.
The former Middlesbrough and Swindon forward wrote on his Twitter page: "My Sky colleague Lothar Matthäus just said on Sky: Drmic’s wife has been looking for an apartment in London. Drmic will be Arsenal-player.
"Josip Drmic is the Swiss-striker at Nurnberg. 15 goals so far. 47 per cent of all Nurnberg goals. Matthäus: – Will be Arsenal-player."
The Swiss youngster moved to Nuremberg last summer from FC Zurich, and if reports are accurate, will join up with Arsene Wenger's side after the World Cup.
Arsenal battled back to gain a 1-1 draw with title favourites Manchester City yesterday, after a disappointing week saw their league hopes all but fade after they were thumped by Chelsea, and held to a home draw with Swansea.
