Liverpool eased past Tottenham this afternoon, creating a small piece of Premier League history in the process.

Under Brendan Rodgers, the Reds appear to have accomplished that rarest of things; they're playing well and winning at the same time.

Having picked up all three points against Spurs today they now have eight-straight wins in the Premier League - which equals Manchester City's record for the current season.

As things stand, should Liverpool win their remaining games then they will be crowned champions.

If they do achieve that remarkable feat, then that would mean they would've won 14 games on the bounce - but is that enough to set a new record in the Premier League?
