Manchester United & Chelsea target not bothered by attention

Luke Shaw has revealed that he's only interested in playing for Southampton, amid interest from some of Europe's top clubs.

As reported by talkSPORT, the full-back has insisted he's focussed on playing for the Saints as they target a positive end to the season.

Shaw has impressed many in this campaign and has been linked with Premier League trio Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea in recent time.

The teenager, who has been valued at £30 million has also attracted interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid

However, Shaw seems focussed on Southampton, as he told reporters: There is not a club I am not linked with, but I don't focus on that.

"My main focus is my football on the pitch and I just want to keep doing that.

"It doesn't really bother me the attention I get. I just stay focused on my game on the pitch. Whatever is said is said.

"Stuff like that is going to happen but my main priority is the games. We've still got six left, so all the focus is on that."

It remains to be seen as to whether the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea will make a move for the defender in the coming window. With uncertainty surrounding the likes of Ashley Cole and Patrice evra, Shaw could act as the ideal long-term replacement for either star.

For now though, both Manchester United and Chelsea will be concentrating on their European quarter-finals this week. Manchester United take on Bayern Munich at Old Trafford, meanwhile Jose Mourinho takes his Chelsea side to France to take on Paris Saint-Germain.
