The inimitable force that is Zlatan Ibrahimovic is to be honoured in his homeland of Sweden in a fittingly unusual fashion.

The Swedish Post Office (Posten) have announced a specially designed range of five stamps to honour the Paris Saint-Germain hitman and amongst the five designs is an action shot of Ibrahimovic mid air during his spectacular overhead kick that completed an outstanding hat-trick against England.

The stamps are now available to buy for around £6 a set and more than 5 million were sold prior to their launch.

Ibrahimovic has played for a myriad of Europe’s elite including Ajax, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan as well as PSG and has represented Sweden 97 times returning an impressive 48 goals; just one shy of the all time record.

On the announcement of the stamps in November last year Ibrahimovic said: “It’s a great honour.

“Personally, I get a lot of bills and they rarely have any nice stamps. Maybe that will change now.”

It sure will Zlatan, it sure will.
