DeMarcus Cousins is the latest in a long line of NBA players to turn their hand to music.
The Sacramento Kings center revealed over the weekend that he will be releasing an R&B single under his alias 'Boogie Smooth'.
"Coming soon...click link in my bio to hear sneak peak of my new single feat the homie @chancetherapper off my R&B album #BoogieSmooth," he wrote.
Cousins is known as a fairly eccentric character in the NBA, and has drawn attention on and off the court since arriving in Sacramento in the 2010 Draft and he is clearly now hoping to transfer his persona to the music business - albeit it under a different name.
As we alluded to, Cousins is far from the first big NBA name to unleash his vocal talents on the world with the likes of Kobe, Shaq, Jason Kidd and, most recently, Damian Lillard signing up to release records.
While their efforts were hardly met with huge critical acclaim, Cousins will be hoping to break the trend with 'Emotional'.
It remains to be seen whether Drake and co have anything to be worried about but Cousins has invited you to check out a little of Boogie Smooth's debut track by clicking here.
Mind you, with April Fools just a day away we wouldn't be surprised if this all turned out just to be a big prank!
