Fraser Aird's corner was headed in by John Daly but the home side hit back and sloppy rearguard action resulted in Paul McManus equalising for Paul Sheerin's men.

The Red Lichties pressed for a second goal but Aird struck late in the game to secure the points for the Gers.

With five games remaining Arbroath now find themselves seven points adrift at the bottom of the league.
