Toni Kroos praises Manchester United

Manchester United will have the opportunity to experience first hand the talents of the reported object of their desire when Toni Kroos arrives at Old Trafford with Bayern Munich on Tuesday. And the coveted midfielder believes the all-conquering Bayern must hit their peak if they are to progress past their Champions League quarter-final opponents.

Kroos has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United for a number of months, with the Germany international’s future at the Allianz Arena uncertain given that he has yet to sign a new contract.

Manchester United appear to have been given hope in their pursuit of Kroos, who they are reportedly ready to offer £25 million for in the summer transfer window, with the player’s deal set to expire at the end of next season. Bayern, though, have remained publicly confident that Kroos will remain a player of theirs.

Kroos would appear likely to face his would-be suitors from the start of their European first-leg encounter this week, and had plenty of positive things to say about Manchester United, despite the season they have endured.

Manchester United have declined dramatically since the appointment of David Moyes as the replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson, but Kroos told the official Bayern Munich YouTube channel that the holders need two ‘absolute top’ performances to reach the semi-final.
