Kobe Bryant released his Nike Kobe 9 series with a number of versions of the high-top shoe, but has since returned with a relaunch of the sneaker in a lower ankle high edition. And LA Lakers teammate Nick Young has got his hands, and feet, on an exclusive pair.
Bryant is sidelined for the remainder of this NBA season and, while the Lakers icon is forced to watch his team from court-side at best, the influence of the veteran shooting guard is still visible with a number of players wearing his Nike products.
Back in January, Nick Young had already been afforded the opportunity by Nike to be the first player to wear a new high-top version of the Kobe 9 shoe, and he has since been given another chance to debut a pair of Bryant sneakers.
This time Young was able to lace-up the low-profile Kobe 9 EM in a previously unseen white shade, while Swaggy P also posted an Instagram picture showing that he also has a version of the new University Golds.
The new Kobe 9s prompted Young to score 11 points as the Lakers beat the Pheonix Suns on Sunday, having lost their previous two matches. Chris Kaman was the points leader for the Lakers, as he scored 28.
