Houston Texans today released safety Danieal Manning and it's understood that the talented defensive back could be on his way to the Dallas Cowboys.
Manning had been rumored to be on his way out of Texas since January, and today the Texans finally choose to cut ties with the 31-year-old.
The talented safety was always a dual threat with strong return abilities on special teams, but it's understood that as those abilities have faded so has the interest in keeping him on board.
Manning was reportedly close to signing a new deal with Houston last week, but despite that the Texans parted ways with the safety today.
But there are more options out there for Manning, and it seems he might not have to travel too far.
In these situations NFL insider Ian Rapoport is a good man to turn to, and the NFL Network reporter believes that Dallas could be Manning's next destination.
Rapoport explained, "Great minds… RT @NFL_ATL: Texans release vet safety Danieal Manning. Might he stay in Lone Star State with Cowboys?"
