Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben insists that Manchester United are capable of causing an upset and beating his side in order to reach the Champions League semi-finals, according to the German club's official website.

The Bavarian champions meet the current Premier League holders in Europe's elite competition's quarter final first-leg at Old Trafford on Tuesday, and the Dutchman has warned that simply because David Moyes' side are not enjoying a brilliant season does not mean his side are guaranteed a passage through.

"You only need to get distracted for a second and you lose against Manchester United," Robben said.

"If you lose concentration and lose the ball, then you get punished there."

United manager Moyes has been criticised due to a poor season which sees the reigning English champions sitting in seventh place in the Premier League.

However, Robben insisted: "It's going to be a tough duel and we've got to watch out. The media and public opinion is that Manchester are not in good shape and that we're going through to the semis, but I don't like that at all."

Robben and his teammates are unbeaten in the Bundesliga where they have already wrapped up another title. Bayern have only lost twice this season and those losses came against Dortmund in the German Super Cup and Manchester City in the Champions League group stages.
