Patrick Beverley has had a big injury boost today confirming that he will not need surgery following his injury sustained in the Rockets win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night.
When Beverley first suffered the injury to his right knee, it was thought by many that he would require surgery and possibly have seen his season end there and then.
However it is now the opinion of orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews that he could be able to avoid surgery altogether.
Beverley tweeted on Saturday night that the swelling in his knee had already gone down and that he was feeling no pain.
In his absence, the Rockets had their five game winning streak snapped by the LA Clippers on Sunday night.
As the race for the play-off spots nears it end in the Western conference, the Rockets will be hoping that Beverley can return sooner rather than later to give them a big boost.
But Beverley's return cannot be predicted as he begins a rehab regime that now all depends on him.
