With 157 days until the return of NFL football to our screens, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Runningback Doug Martin has tweeted some important news.

Martin used his Twitter to reveal that he has been declared clear to return to full activities once again.

After injuring his left shoulder during the Buccaneers week seven loss at the Atlanta Falcons last year, he was ruled out for the season.

His absence gave way to Mike James and Bobby Rainey in the second half of last season as the Bucs finished with a 4-12 record.

But the Bucs are a new look team for next season, literally as they revealed a new team logo and new design for their uniforms earlier in the off-season.

New coach Lovie Smith has been quoted as wanting to use Martin as his starting Runningback next year in a three man rotation.

Martin ran for 456 yards and one touchdown before his injury last season and will be hoping to continue where he left off in 2014
