Is Kalou set for a Premier League return?.

Arsenal in pole position to sign Kalou

Arsenal are in pole position to bring former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou back to the Premier League, according to The Mirror

Kalou, who has been in fine form for Ligue 1 outfit Lille this season, was linked with a move to the Emirates in the January transfer window, but a move to north London failed to materialise.

However - if reports from the London Evening Standard are to be believed - it now appears that the forward could move to Arsene Wenger's side in the next transfer window.

The Gunners now look ahead of the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham, with all three Premier League clubs having been credited with interest in the former Chelsea man.

Kalou enjoyed a successful spell at Stamford Bridge, winning the Champions League in his final season with the club and with reports growing that he's set for a return to England's elite division, it looks likely that he will end up at Arsenal this summer.

It remains to be seen as to whether any other Premier League clubs rival Arsenal for the signature of the £2.5 million rated forward. For now though, the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea will be concentrating on the Premier League title race.
