WWE superstar Daniel Bryan has been quick to reject comparisons between his current feud and those of a certain 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.
Bryan is embroiled in a bitter dispute with 'The Authority' at present and many have compared such a battle with Austin's rise to glory in the 1990s during his infamous and iconic struggles with the McMahon family.
"I honestly don’t think they are accurate," he told DirecTV of the Austin comparisons in an interview that was reported by WrestlingInc.com.
"There are some similarities, like anyone who has had issues with authority figures in WWE. But I think our attitudes and how we handle things are different. It was a different era when Steve Austin was battling Vince McMahon. It’s kind of similar, but to me they are way different."
32-year-old Bryan, who joined the WWE back in 2009, has gone on to become one of the biggest names in the business and is set for arguably the biggest night of his career to date this month as he gets ready to square off against Triple H at Wrestlemania XXX on Sunday night.
If he emerges triumphant from what is sure to be a gruelling and brutal match against The Game in New Orleans, Louisiana, then Bryan will have the chance to become the WWE world heavyweight champion as he will then be added to the main event match to square-off against Randy Orton and Batista.
WWE fans - do you agree with Bryan here? Is his feud with The Authority similar to Austin's clashes with the McMahon family?
