The New Orleans Saints aren't interested in signing free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson, according to reports.
Jackson was first released by the Philadelphia Eagles last month and is said to be attracted plenty of interest.
According to ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder, two unidentified teams have been speaking with Jackson - but he reports that the Saints aren't one of those two.
A move to New Orleans never looked likely for the 27-year-old - the Saints have spent much of their offseason trying to make room on their wage bill - work which offering a contract to Jackson would undo.
There are also more than a few doubts about his character, which could put teams off.
The NFC franchise look short in Jackson's area after their cuts - but most of their efforts are focused on ensuring Jimmy Graham signs a new long-term contract.
The tight end has been franchise tagged for the 2014 season but according to reports a contract agreement could be in the offing soon.
