The NFL draft is still slowly creeping up on us and rumours about what teams will be doing with their first round pick is rife.

All this speculation and quote hunting isn't going to be helped any more by the release of NFLDraftScout.com's top 250 players that have made themselves eligible to be taken in May.

Unsurprisingly, Jadeveon Clowney has been named the best player out of the bunch, but it's the quarterback position that has proven the most controversial.

University of Central Florida play caller Blake Bortles has been named the top QB in the draft, ahead of Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater.

But controversial to many, the previously unknown Bortles has also been christened as the third best player in the whole draft class.

The Top 10:

1) Jadeveon Clowney - Defensive End
2) Greg Robinson - Offensive Tackle
3) Blake Bortles - Quarterback
4) Sammy Watkins - Wide Receiver
5) Jake Matthews - Offensive Tackle
6) Khalil Mack - Linebacker
7) Johnny Manziel - Quarterback
8) Anthony Barr - Linebacker
9) Teddy Bridgewater - Quarterback
10) Justin Gilbert - Cornerback
