What better way to start than with a reflection on Manchester United’s heroics last night during their Champions League tie with Bayern Munich.

Despite being massive underdogs David Moyes’ side came away with a 1-1 draw courtesy of a Nemanja Vidic header, and will now travel to Germany next week on the hope that they can complete the upset. After the game under fire boss Moyes played up his team’s chances of reaching the semi-finals.

At Chelsea it’s Fernando Torres who is the talk of the town, as reports claim that negotiations are underway with Inter Milan over a potential loan move. The Spaniard has largely disappointed at Stamford Bridge and it’s thought that he will move out in order to free up room for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa. However Inter aren’t prepared to pay his full wages, and so the negotiations may hit a hitch if the Blues decide not to play ball.

And finally in the biggest story of the day Barcelona have been banned from making transfers for the next two transfer windows, after being found guilty of breaking the rules with regards to the international transferring and registration of 10 players under the age of 18.

FIFA have punished the Catalan giants by fining them and prohibiting them from improving their squad until summer 2015, which will surely put paid to their hopes of maintaining parity with Bayern Munich.
